Lower Secondary Private Online Sessions (4 sessions / month)

Lower Secondary 1-on-1 sessions are for students who are looking to build a strong foundation, while looking to stretch their learning beyond the standard classroom hours. Students with a weaker foundation are also encouraged to sign up for private sessions.

Upper Secondary Private Online Sessions (4 sessions / month)

Upper Secondary 1-on-1 sessions are for students who are looking to supercharge their learning, and close learning gaps. Lessons are tailored to individual student's learning needs and are helpful for students who require personalised support before the National Exams.

Group Online Tuition (1.5h / session ; 4 sessions / month)

To keep lessons effective, group lessons will only consist of a maximum of 5 students. Group tuition is suitable for students who learn better in a group setting, and is helpful for students who are more self-motivated. Students looking to learn from their peers are encouraged to sign up for group tuition.

English Essay Feedback Packages

2 Essays (1 re-write each)

Essays will be marked and detailed feedback will be provided within 2 days. Students will receive written feedback on their original work and recorded voice feedback via WhatsApp. To improve writing, students have to rewrite the essay based on the feedback for a second round of evaluation within 7 days.

Package also includes a 1-on-1 45 minutes consultation session on their written essays.

History and Social Studies lessons

With our partnering tutor, Writesensesg also offers Secondary History and Social Studies programs. Taken together, we believe that students will be able to improve their analytical abilities and translate perspective taking into writing.

These private sessions are good for students who are looking to learn at their own pace, with highly personalised feedback given.

Group sessions

Group learning is suggested for students who learn better with their peers and are interested in interacting with other students to enhance their learning experience.

Frequently asked questions

What subjects do you offer tuition for?

Writesensesg's main tutor, Ms Colette, offers English Language tuition for G2 and G3 students at the Secondary Level. We also offer History and Social Studies tuition as we have a partnering tutor.

How are the lessons conducted?

Lessons are conducted online via Zoom/Google Meet. Each session includes interactive discussions, personalized feedback, and structured exercises to help students improve their writing and analytical skills.

How long is each lesson?

Group sessions are 1.5 hours per session. However, if you are able to form your own group of minimum 2 students, we will be able to cater to your personalised lesson length.

Private sessions are recommended to be 1.5 hours long, to reduce fatigue from online learning. Additional sessions can, however, be arranged.

Do you provide materials and homework?

Yes! Materials are developed according to the MOE syllabus and will be tailored according to the student's learning pace and needs. While we understand that students will have school homework to complete, it is also essential that they set aside time to work on assignments provided by Writesensesg so that their learning here will be fruitful. 

What if my child misses a lesson?

Writesensesg offers rescheduling options with prior notice. If a lesson is missed without notice, it may not be eligible for a makeup session.

Can my child take a trial lesson before committing?

Definitely! Online tuition is not for every child and we definitely want to ensure that we are a good fit for each other. A 45-minutes trial lesson will be provided before you decide to enroll into our classes. 

When and how is payment collected?

Payment for the full month is collected before the start of the first lesson each month. Payment will be done via bank transfer / PayNow. 

Payment for essay feedback services will be collected upon submission of the first essay. Payment will be done via bank transfer / PayNow.
